Vampires
The Vampires are an immensely powerful blood-sucking race who swarmed over the galaxy, draining planets of all life. All but one perished in a bloody battle with the Time Lords who, under the command of Rassilon, developed bow ships the metal projectiles that pierced the hearts of the vampires and killed them. The vampires worshiped the Great Vampire, the last an most malevolent of the race. The Record of Rassilon states that one of the great Vampires survived. The Doctor encountered him in E-Space (State of Decay), guarded by his servants Aukon, Zargo and Camilla. As a monster rose from its thousand-year sleep, a rocket, programmed by the Doctor to go straight up, and come straight back down again pierced its heart. Vampires only appeared in State of Decay. |
