An elite grouping of the inhabitants of Gallifrey who watch the Universe through out time and space. Minyos almost caused the total annihilation of the Time Lords. They are amongst the oldest races in the universe. The Time Lords run a vast Academy where they are split into three castes. The Time Lords are ruled by the High Council, led by a president and supported by the Cardinals, a Chancellor, Councilors and a Castellan, who is the had of Gallifreyan security. Various Gallifreyans and Time Lords have rejected the Time Lord lifestyle-either choosing to live in Gallifrey's outer wastes, these known as the Outsiders, or the renegades, who left Gallifrey altogether. Time Lords live for many years, via a process known as regeneration. Time Lord society was founded by Rassilon, who along with Omega first provided the means of time travel. Rassilon was the first Time Lord.
