The Tenth Planet

Location: South Pole, Earth, 1986 A.D.

The Doctor Ben and Poly find the Antarctic underground tracking station known as Snowcap in a state of Emergency. The Earth is experiencing a energy drain from Mondas, a previously undiscovered "Tenth Planet" now approaching Earth. Snowcap is soon invaded by cybernetic creatures arriving from Mondas: the Cybermen! Thanks to ben, the first party of Cybermen is killed. more Cybermen arrive, kill General Cutler and succeed in taking over the base. Radiation may be the key to stopping the Cybermen. But Polly and the Doctor are captives on the Cybership, and the Doctor's body is failing, seemingly aging with each passing minute!

The final episode in the story features the Doctor's first regeneration and a first glimpse of the Second Doctor.
