The Sea Devils
Written by: Malcolm Hulke 1st Aired: 26 Feb 72-1 Apr 72 Companions: JoLocation: Earth, contemporary Three ships have recently vanished without trace near the converted castle where the Master is imprisoned. Having check on his the Master, the Doctor takes Jo to a nearby naval base to inquire about the disappearances. When Jo sees the Master moving freely about the base, nobody but the Doctor believes her. They discover that the Master has tricked his captors to believe that he is trying to save Britain from enemy agents-but the attacks are actually coming from the Sea Devils, who are cousins of the Silurians. As the Doctor tries to negotiate peace, a government official orders a nuclear attack-with the Doctor in the base with the Master.
