The Savages

But Dodo and Steven have seen the spear-carring "savages" who live outside the city. As the Doctor tries to discover the secret of the civilization's achievements. The city's inhabitants enhance their own intelligence, creativity and vitality by draining the life force of the so-called savages outside. Outside the city, Dodo and Steven enter into an uneasy alliance with the savages, while inside it Jano, chief elder, benefits from the drained life force of the Doctor himself, and action which will have unforeseen consequences.
