Sarah Jane and Harry discover that Professor Kettlewell's robot is being programmed by a fringe group of scientific elitists to further their goal of world domination, but Kettlewell himself is innocent-or is he? The Doctor's attempt to rescue the Professor leads him straight into a trap, and Harry Sullivan's attempt to act as a spy gets him captured as well. When the Robot is shot with a Disintegrator Gun, the Robot grows to a gigantic size, and only the Doctor can stop it.
