Patrick Troughton
Patrick Troughton was the second incarnation of the Doctor and had quite a different character to William Hartnell. The second Doctor had a brilliant intellect, but he was known as a clown, a ploy which led his enemies to underestimate him. In this incarnation, the Doctor was eventually captured and brought to trail by the Time Lords (this happened in the War Games), and because of this he was exciled to Earth. On Earth, he got a new appearance and his memory of how to operate the Tardis was erased. In the Troughton era, there were three popular monsters created, the Yeti , the Quarks and the Ice Warriors (both shown below)
