William Hartnell
William Hartnell was the first incarnation of the Doctor. He was a white-haired old man and interfered with history on a regular basis. This and his arrogant nature, led him into many conflicts with his human companions, but as time went on, his attitude mellowed. When he collapsed following the first confrontation with the Cybermen (shown below) he regenerated into the second Doctor, Patrick Troughton. In the Hartnell era, many new monsters were created such as the Cybermen and the Daleks, both were to become the most famous monsters from Doctor Who.
