The Gunfighters
Written by: Donald Cotton 1st Aired: 30 Apr 66-21 May 66 Companions: Steven, DodoLocation: Tombstone, Arizona Territory, 1881 The Doctor has a toothache and insists on having his tooth taken out. But, the Tardis lands in Tombstone, Arizona, where Wyatt Earp is Marshall and the Doctor's dentist is Doc Holiday. When Seth Harper and the Clantons confuse the Doctor with the dentist, the real Doc Holiday lets the error stand. The Clantons stage a hanging, with Steven as the guest on honor. Earp is forced to intervene. The dentist absconds with Dodo (and his fiancée , Kate), so Steven and the scholar Johnny Ringo go looking for them. Meanwhile, back in Tombstone, events lead the Doctor to the gunfight at the OK Corral-and not just an observer.
