The Daleks

Location: Planet Skaro

Exploring a city on the planet Skaro, the Doctor and his companions are captured by the city's inhabitants, the Daleks. When the travelers develop radiation sickness, the Daleks allow Susan to go for medicine from the Tardis. Susan meets Alydon of the Thals, humanoids who live near the city. The Daleks dictate a letter promising to aid the Thals into a trap, the travelers escape and warn the Thals. The Doctor needs help to recover a vital Tardis component from the Daleks, but the former warrior Thals are now pacifist farmers. Alydon decides that his people must fight for their survival. Ian, Barbara and Ganatus'party of Thal stake a dangerous back route into the city while at the front of it, the Daleks recapture the Doctor and Susan.

Originally "The Mutants," this story has been retitled "To Daleks" to distinguish it from the Jon Pertwee story, also titled The Mutants.
