The Chase
Written by: Terry Nation 1st Aired: 22 May 65-26 Jun 65 Companions: Ian, Barbara, Vicki, StevenLocation: Aridus, Earth, 1966, 1872 & 1996; Mechanus On the planet Aridius, the Doctor and Barbara detect Daleks in the act of sending a time machine to destroy the Tardis. The Daleks pursue the Tardis and crew across time and space: to New York City, to the mystery ship the Mary Celeste, to a haunted house occupied by Dracula and Frankenstein's monster and finally to the planet Mechanus, where the Daleks produce a murderous replica Doctor. Mechanus has its own threat as well: the Mechanoids machines that intend to keep the Tardis crew in captive comfort forever, along with marooned astronaut Steven Taylor. If Ian and Barbara can escape both Daleks and the Mechanoids, one more destination awaits them: Home.
