The Abominable Snowmen
Written by: Haisman & Lincoin 1st Aired: 30 Sep 67-4 Nov 67 Companions: Jamie, VictoriaLocation: Tibet, 1935 In 1630, the Doctor was involved in an unrecorded adventure at the Det-Sen monastery in the Himilayas. In 1935, he revisits the monastery to return a holy bell. Also present is Professor Edward Travers, seeking proof of the existence of the so-called abominable snowman, or Yeti. When his friend is killed by a shaggy beast the Doctor-in his full-length fur coat-is accused. Meanwhile, Jamie and Victoria encounter one of the monsters, but escape and convince Travers of the Doctor's innocence. The High Lama orders the Doctor released, knowing him to be a friend. But is it really the High Lama? Or is the ruler under control of the Great Intelligence, the alien power behind the robotic Yeti? And what is the Great Plan?
